Psychological “disorders” are a regular part of our society these days. With diagnoses like Autism and ADHD consistently on the rise, we can’t help but sit up and pay attention and wonder what’s happening to our world and especially the younger generations. It’s so much harder for them these days than it’s ever been before, but there’s also a lot more help and resources for individuals as well.
Just like healing the physical body can take more than one modality or perspective on healing, so healing the mind is the same way. You have to view the mind like you would any other body part and see its connection to the rest of your being. It’s certainly just as important as the rest of your body, if not more important in some respects.
Your mind is more than just your brain and it defines you in many ways. It’s defined as “the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought.” It exists based on our experiences and how we connect to the world, but it’s also very much connected to the brain because if the brain is damaged, the mind will most certainly be affected and diminish an individual’s connection to the world.
But the brain can be healed just like another part of the body can. In fact, the brain is sometimes easier to heal because of its flexibility in some cases. It has an amazing capacity to heal and repair itself and reroute its abilities to other parts of the brain for learning and healing.
And just like any other body part, it can hold negative energy from past experiences that might keep it from healing and repairing itself. By clearing away those past negative experiences, healing can be allowed to take place more readily where any damage has occurred. Negative energy stuck anywhere in our system whether it’s at the physical, energetic or Soul level can be very damaging to healing our physical bodies, not to mention or mental and emotional state, so the best and simplest route to start healing within us is always to clear away past negative experiences and the baggage we carry as a result.
Not only does this open us to healing, but also to guidance and wisdom from Spirit that will help us along our healing journey and getting there much quicker than we could have before clearing away the old junk that was holding us back.
